Tolmie's onion is a compact, bulbous perennial native to rocky and open slopes of the Pacific Northwest. Plant bulbs in well-drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded spot and water regularly during spring growth, then allow the plant to go dormant in summer. It requires minimal care once established and is best suited to rock gardens or naturalized wild plantings.
