Alpine coltsfoot (Homogyne alpina) is a charming, low-growing alpine perennial native to mountain meadows and woodland edges of central Europe. It prefers cool, moist, humus-rich soils in partial shade, making it ideal for rock gardens, alpine troughs, or shaded borders in temperate gardens. Once established it requires little maintenance and will slowly spread to form attractive groundcover.
