Alpine honeysuckle

Alpine honeysuckle is a compact, deciduous shrub native to European mountain forests, prized for its attractive paired red berries and small cream-to-red flowers in spring. It grows best in cool, shaded or partially shaded spots with moist, humus-rich soil, making it ideal for woodland or shade gardens. Once established it requires little maintenance, though the bright red berries are mildly toxic and should be kept away from children and pets.
