Alpine squill is a low-maintenance spring bulb that thrives in partial shade under deciduous trees or in woodland garden settings. Plant bulbs in autumn about 2–3 inches deep in well-drained, humus-rich soil and water regularly until the foliage dies back naturally. It naturalizes readily and requires little attention once established.
