Astragalus purshii var. ophiogenes

This rare variety of Pursh's milkvetch is native to Idaho and Oregon and is best grown in naturalistic or restoration plantings that mimic its native sagebrush and open woodland habitats. Provide well-draining, gritty or loamy soil with partial shade and regular moisture during spring and summer. It is not suited for indoor cultivation and demands specialist horticultural knowledge to maintain successfully.
