Australian golden wattle is a fast-growing shrub or small tree celebrated for its brilliant golden-yellow flower clusters and graceful phyllodes. Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot and water regularly during the first season; once established it is notably drought tolerant and very low maintenance. It makes an excellent screen, windbreak, or ornamental specimen and is the floral emblem of Australia.
