Australian pine
Pinus nigra
Pinus nigra is a tough, adaptable pine that thrives in full sun with well-drained soils and tolerates urban pollution, wind, and poor soils exceptionally well. Once established, it is highly drought tolerant and requires very little supplemental watering or maintenance. It makes an excellent windbreak, screening tree, or specimen plant in large landscapes.
