Balsamorhiza serrata

Serrate balsamroot is a striking native perennial from the Pacific Coast ranges, producing large, yellow daisy-like flowers in spring above deeply serrated silvery-green foliage. It performs best in well-drained, lean soils with partial sun and does not tolerate wet or overly rich conditions. Once established, it is quite low maintenance and long-lived with minimal supplemental watering needed.
