Banana water-lily is a beautiful yellow-flowering aquatic perennial that grows best in still or slow-moving water with at least 4-6 hours of sunlight daily. Plant rhizomes in aquatic containers filled with heavy loam soil and submerge so the crown sits 6-18 inches below the water surface. Fertilize monthly during the growing season with aquatic plant tablets and remove spent leaves and flowers to keep the plant tidy.
