Banana yucca is a striking desert plant with bold, sword-like leaves and large clusters of creamy white flowers that attract pollinators in late spring. Plant it in full sun with very well-drained, sandy or rocky soil and water infrequently, as it is highly adapted to arid conditions. It is an excellent low-maintenance choice for xeriscape, desert, or dry Mediterranean-style gardens.
