Basil thyme is a compact, aromatic herb that thrives in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soils and sunny to lightly shaded positions — much like its culinary relatives. It is highly drought-tolerant once established and requires very little care beyond occasional watering during prolonged dry spells. An excellent choice for herb gardens, gravel plantings, or the edges of sunny borders where it will attract pollinators throughout summer.
