Bastard-sage

Bastard-sage is a tough, drought-adapted native shrub from arid regions of the American Southwest that thrives in well-drained, rocky or sandy soils with minimal irrigation once established. Plant in a sunny to lightly shaded spot and avoid overwatering, as it is highly susceptible to root rot in wet conditions. Its woolly gray foliage and small white to pinkish flower clusters make it an attractive, low-fuss addition to xeriscape and native plant gardens.
