Big-leaf snowbell

Big-leaf snowbell is a graceful, slow-growing understory tree or large shrub native to the southeastern United States, producing pendulous clusters of fragrant white bell-shaped flowers in late spring. Plant in moist, acidic, well-drained soil in a partly shaded spot sheltered from harsh afternoon sun, and water regularly to keep roots consistently moist. Once established, it requires little maintenance beyond occasional shaping and is a beautiful specimen plant for woodland gardens.
