Bitter-berry

Chokecherry is a hardy, adaptable native shrub or small tree that grows well in a wide range of soils with minimal care once established. It produces fragrant white flower clusters in spring and dark purple berries in late summer that are highly attractive to birds and wildlife. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and monitor for common cherry pests such as tent caterpillars.
