Rudbeckia nitida is a tall, cheerful perennial that produces bright yellow daisy-like flowers with a dark central cone through summer and into fall. Plant in a sunny to partially shaded spot with average, well-drained soil and water regularly during dry periods. Deadhead spent blooms to extend flowering and divide clumps every 2-3 years to maintain vigor.
