Blue aphyllanthes is a charming, rush-like Mediterranean perennial that produces delicate sky-blue flowers on slender stems and thrives in well-drained, gritty or rocky soils in a sunny spot. It is well suited to rock gardens, gravel gardens, or dry border plantings and dislikes heavy, waterlogged soils. Once established it is largely self-sufficient and requires only occasional watering during prolonged dry spells.
