Boehmer's cat's-tail
Phleum phleoides
Boehmer's cat's-tail is a slender, upright perennial grass best suited to open, sunny positions on dry, sandy, or chalky soils where many other plants struggle. It is very low maintenance and largely self-sufficient once established, requiring no fertiliser and minimal watering. Use it in native meadow plantings or wildlife gardens where its narrow cylindrical flower spikes provide texture and attract pollinators.
