Bog-rosemary is a delicate evergreen shrub that requires consistently moist, acidic, peaty soil and partial shade to thrive — conditions that mimic its native boggy habitat. It is not suitable for average garden soils and does best in bog gardens, rain gardens, or containers with ericaceous compost. Handle with care as all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
