Bog star is a charming wildflower native to wet meadows and boggy ground, producing elegant white star-shaped flowers in late summer. It requires consistently moist, calcium-rich, nutrient-poor soil and does not tolerate drought or enriched garden soils. Best grown in a specialist bog garden or rain garden setting where its exacting moisture requirements can be reliably met.
