Brachythecium albicans
Brachythecium albicans
Brachythecium albicans, commonly known as whitish feather-moss, is a spreading, pale-green moss found naturally on dry sandy soils, dunes, and open grasslands. Despite its affinity for drier habitats than many mosses, it still benefits from regular misting to prevent desiccation when grown indoors or in terrariums. It works beautifully as a living carpet in naturalistic displays and requires minimal intervention once established.
