Brewer's sedge is a low-growing alpine sedge native to the mountains of the western United States that prefers cool, partially shaded conditions with consistently moist soil. It is an excellent choice for naturalizing in rock gardens, woodland edges, or streamside plantings. Once established, it requires very little maintenance beyond occasional watering during dry spells.
