The broad-leaved marsh orchid thrives in consistently moist, nutrient-poor, slightly alkaline soils in a sunny to partly shaded garden spot. It forms a symbiotic relationship with specific soil fungi (mycorrhizae), making it very difficult to establish outside its native wetland habitat. Best suited to experienced growers with bog gardens or fen-like conditions; not recommended for pots or general home use.
