Broom baccharis is a tough, drought-adapted native shrub of the Desert Southwest that handles heat, poor soils, and dry conditions with ease. Plant it in full sun with excellent drainage and water sparingly once established — it is remarkably self-sufficient. Its wispy white seed plumes attract birds and beneficial insects, making it an excellent low-water habitat plant.
