Buckler mustard is a compact alpine perennial from European mountain meadows, producing cheerful yellow flowers with distinctive rounded seed pods in spring and early summer. It prefers well-drained, rocky or gritty soils and tolerates cool temperatures exceptionally well. Plant it in a rock garden or alpine trough in partial to full sun for best flowering results.
