Bunchberry

Bunchberry is a charming low-growing native groundcover that prefers cool, shaded conditions with consistently moist, acidic soil rich in organic matter. It produces white four-petaled flowers in spring followed by clusters of bright red berries that attract birds and wildlife. It is best suited to woodland gardens or shaded borders in cool northern climates and does not tolerate heat or dry conditions.
