Burnet bloodwort
Sanguisorba officinalis
Burnet bloodwort is a graceful perennial with deep crimson bottlebrush flowers that attract pollinators and add height to borders and meadow plantings. It prefers consistently moist soil in a sunny to partly shaded location and may need dividing every few years to maintain vigor. Deadhead spent flowers to extend the blooming season and prevent excessive self-seeding.
