California wild buckwheat is an excellent drought-tolerant native shrub ideally suited to dry, well-drained soils in full sun. Once established it needs very little supplemental watering and is highly resistant to neglect, making it perfect for low-water gardens. Its clusters of white to pinkish flowers are magnets for native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators throughout summer.
