The linear-leaved camas is a slender-leafed subspecies of common camas native to California, producing lovely blue-purple flower spikes in spring. Plant bulbs in moist, humus-rich soil with partial shade and keep soil consistently moist during the growing season. This subspecies is an excellent choice for California native gardens and rain gardens where soil stays moist in winter and spring.
