Carex demissa

Carex demissa, commonly known as common yellow-sedge, is a low-growing perennial sedge suited to moist, boggy, or streamside conditions in sun to partial shade. It is an excellent choice for rain gardens, pond margins, or any consistently damp area of the garden where other plants may struggle. Once established it is very undemanding, requiring only that its soil remains reliably moist throughout the growing season.
