Carex otrubae

Carex otrubae, commonly known as false fox-sedge, is a robust perennial sedge that thrives in moist to wet soils in partial shade, making it ideal for rain gardens, pond margins, and boggy areas. It requires little maintenance beyond occasional division every few years to prevent overcrowding. Its dense clumping habit provides excellent ground cover and habitat for small wildlife.
