Chocolate-flower is a drought-tolerant native perennial beloved for its cheerful yellow daisy-like blooms that emit a distinct chocolate scent in the morning. Plant in full sun to partial shade with excellent drainage; it thrives in lean, sandy, or rocky soils and will decline in heavy, wet conditions. Once established, it requires minimal care and will self-seed gently in the garden.
