Chylismia cardiophylla subsp. cardiophylla

Heartleaf suncup is a desert-adapted perennial native to the arid regions of California, Arizona, and northwestern Mexico, doing best in rocky or sandy, well-drained soils. It tolerates partial shade and low water once established, making it a good candidate for water-wise southwestern gardens. Avoid overwatering and heavy clay soils, which can cause root rot.
