Green-leaved miner's lettuce is a delicate cool-season annual found across the southwestern United States that thrives in partial shade with moist, humus-rich soil. It self-seeds readily and naturalizes well in woodland edges and shaded garden beds with little care needed. Allow plants to set seed before they die back in summer so the colony can regenerate the following spring.
