Corn cockle is a charming annual wildflower with vivid pink-purple blooms that thrives in well-drained, poor-to-average soils in full sun. Direct sow seeds into the garden in autumn or spring for best germination results, and deadhead spent flowers to prolong the blooming season. Note that all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested, so site it away from areas frequented by children or pets.
