Thalictrum flavum
Common meadow-rue is an elegant, tall perennial producing feathery, sulphur-yellow flower clusters that add airy texture to borders and bog gardens in summer. It prefers reliably moist, fertile soil in sun to partial shade and benefits from staking in exposed positions. Divide clumps every three to four years in spring to maintain vigour.
