Common teasel

Common teasel is a striking architectural biennial-to-perennial that produces bold, thistle-like seed heads beloved by goldfinches and other seed-eating birds in autumn and winter. It is extremely easy to grow in most average soils in partial sun and requires virtually no care once established. Note that it self-seeds prolifically, so deadhead spent flower heads if you wish to limit its spread in the garden.
