Cowbane
Cicuta virosa
Cowbane is a highly toxic aquatic perennial best suited to naturalistic wetland or bog garden settings by experienced growers who are fully aware of its extreme danger to humans and animals. It requires permanently wet or waterlogged soil and full sun to partial shade, and should never be planted where children or pets have access. This plant is considered one of the most poisonous in the Northern Hemisphere and should be handled with great caution.
