Creeping lady's tresses is a delicate terrestrial orchid that requires a very specific habitat of acidic, humus-rich, well-drained soil under conifer shade, mimicking its natural forest floor environment. It forms a mycorrhizal relationship with soil fungi, making it extremely difficult to establish outside its native woodland setting. This is a specialist plant best suited to experienced orchid growers or dedicated woodland garden enthusiasts.
