Crepis occidentalis subsp. pumila

Dwarf western hawksbeard is a compact subspecies of Crepis occidentalis native to mountain slopes and sagebrush flats of the Pacific Northwest and Great Basin. It requires very little care once established, preferring well-drained, lean soils and tolerating dry summers typical of its native range. Ideal for rock gardens or native plant restorations, it produces small yellow daisy-like flowers in late spring.
