Crosby's wild buckwheat is a rare, low-growing perennial native to sagebrush steppe habitats of the Great Basin and Pacific Northwest. It prefers well-drained, gritty or rocky soils and tolerates only moderate watering, making it well suited to rock gardens or native plant landscapes. Avoid overwatering or heavy clay soils, which can lead to root rot.
