Dragonsblood tree

Pterocarpus officinalis is a large tropical swamp tree native to Caribbean and Central and South American lowland forests, where it grows in seasonally flooded conditions. It requires high humidity, warm temperatures above 60°F, and consistently moist to wet soils, making it best suited for tropical or subtropical outdoor landscapes. This is a specialist specimen tree not recommended for indoor growing or temperate climates.
