Dwarf mountain pine is an incredibly tough, slow-growing evergreen conifer that tolerates cold, wind, and poor soils with ease. It requires very little maintenance once established and is excellent for rock gardens, slopes, or as a low-maintenance landscape specimen. Pruning is rarely necessary but new candle growth can be pinched in late spring to maintain a compact shape.
