Dwarf valerian is a charming alpine perennial that produces clusters of small pink to white flowers in summer, thriving in cool, partially shaded spots with consistently moist, well-drained soil. It is well suited to rock gardens, alpine troughs, or shaded borders where it won't dry out. Keep the soil moderately moist and divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour.
