Elongated sedge
Carex elongata
Elongated sedge is a graceful, clump-forming perennial grass ideal for moist, shaded garden spots such as pond margins, rain gardens, or woodland borders. It thrives in consistently wet to moist soils and partial shade, making it an excellent choice for difficult damp areas where other plants struggle. Little maintenance is required beyond cutting back old foliage in early spring to make way for fresh new growth.
