California buckwheat is a tough, drought-adapted native shrub that thrives in sunny, well-drained slopes and chaparral conditions in Southern California. Once established, it requires very little supplemental water and is exceptionally low maintenance. Its creamy white to pink flower clusters are magnets for bees, butterflies, and birds.
