Eriogonum umbellatum var. argus

This California and Oregon native sulfur buckwheat variety thrives in well-drained, rocky or sandy soils with minimal supplemental watering once established. Provide full sun to part shade and avoid clay-heavy soils that retain moisture, which can lead to root rot. It is an excellent choice for native habitat gardens and pollinator plantings along the Pacific Coast.
