Eriogonum umbellatum var. aureum

Sulfur buckwheat 'Aureum' is a hardy Rocky Mountain native that thrives in well-drained, gravelly or sandy soils with minimal supplemental water once established. Plant in a sunny to partly shaded spot and avoid overwatering, as wet soils are the most common cause of decline. It makes an excellent low-maintenance groundcover or rock garden specimen with attractive golden-yellow flower clusters in summer.
