Modoc sulfur buckwheat is a hardy native perennial suited to well-drained, gravelly or sandy soils across California, Idaho, Nevada, and Oregon. It requires very little care once established and benefits from minimal supplemental irrigation during dry summers. Its cheerful yellow flower clusters attract bees and butterflies, making it a wonderful addition to native and pollinator gardens.
