Eriogonum umbellatum var. speciosum

The showy sulfur buckwheat is a striking California native perennial valued for its clusters of bright yellow flowers and adaptability to poor, well-drained soils. It grows slowly but rewards patience with a long bloom season that is highly attractive to native bees and butterflies. Minimal pruning and very little supplemental water are needed once the plant is established.
