Eriogonum umbellatum var. vernum

This rare spring-blooming Nevada endemic sulfur buckwheat variety is best suited to rocky, alkaline desert soils with excellent drainage and partial shade. It is adapted to the arid Great Basin climate and requires very little supplemental water once established. Source plants from specialist native plant nurseries and avoid heavy or wet soils.
